La Fornace in Brazil: A Journey Through Wine, People, and Places

In the past few weeks, we had the incredible opportunity to take part in an experience we’ll carry with us for a long time: a trip to Brazil with our importer, joined by a group of fellow producers and friends who share our values, our passion, and our vision for what wine should be.
This tour was all about introducing La Fornace to key cities across Brazil, showing who we are, what we do, and, most importantly, letting our wines speak for themselves.
Our first stop was Rio de Janeiro, where we had the honor of participating in two tastings hosted by the Italian Consulate (@italyinrosario). It was a unique experience, where Italian wines became a bridge between cultures, different on the surface, yet deeply connected by a shared appreciation for quality, authenticity, and identity.
Next, we traveled to Caxias do Sul, in the heart of Brazil’s southern wine region, Rio Grande do Sul. There, we were warmly welcomed by Boccati (@boccati_), a cornerstone of the local wine scene that truly values the art of careful selection. The evening was filled with engaging conversations, and reminded us once again of how powerful the connection is between those who make wine and those who choose it with passion and curiosity.
Finally, we wrapped up the tour in São Paulo with a tasting event at Casa do Porto (@casadoportosp). A dynamic evening in one of Brazil’s most exciting cities, where we had the chance to share the essence of our work, our wines, our land, and the philosophy that goes into every bottle.
Returning home after a trip like this means not just carrying memories, but also new relationships, fresh perspectives, and renewed energy. Once again, we’ve seen how wine has the power to build bridges, close distances, and spark meaningful connections, no matter the language or location.
A sincere thank you to everyone who welcomed us, listened to our story, tasted our wines, and shared this journey with us.
There’s more to come…
In the meantime, here’s a toast from all of us!
See you soon,
La Fornace
