As Spring Arrives, a Look Back at our February between Pittsburgh and New York

With spring in the air and the vineyards of La Fornace slowly waking up, we thought it was the right time to share a quick update on what we’ve been up to in February, a month full of inspiring encounters, tastings, and new opportunities, between Pittsburgh and New York.

Our journey started in Pittsburgh, where our friend and partner Ryan (@travelingle) hosted two private dinners featuring our wines. The evenings brought together a small group of wine lovers in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, just the right setting to talk about who we are, share stories from our winery La Fornace, and taste some of our bottles together.

We always value moments like these. Sitting around a table, with a glass in hand, creates a more personal kind of connection and it opens the door to deeper conversations on wine, with genuine curiosity. When the opportunity arises, we’re always glad to be part of occasions like this.

From Pittsburgh, we made our way to New York to take part in Benvenuto Brunello 2025, one of the most important events of the year for wine producers.

It’s always a great honor to be there. The event brings together top producers, importers, journalists, and wine professionals from around the world. This year, our Brunello was met with enthusiasm and thoughtful feedback. These moments of exchange are essential for La Fornace, they help us reflect on our path, gather new insights, and continue to grow with intention and care.

We stayed in New York for a few more days, visiting restaurants and wine spots alongside our importer. It was a chance to reconnect with chefs and sommeliers we’ve known for a long time, and also to meet new people in the trade.

Speaking directly with those who present our wines on a daily basis gives us a clearer understanding of how our work is perceived and how we can keep improving. Every visit, every conversation added something to the bigger picture, and helped us see new opportunities in a market we care deeply about.

In short, February was a month rich with experience, one that gave us new energy and fresh motivation to keep doing what we love. We’re grateful for every glass shared, every conversation had, and for the warm welcome our wines received.

More to come soon!

Until then, cheers from all of us at La Fornace!
